Well, I've finally bitten the bullet.
I've taken the bull by the horns.
I'm taking the plunge.
In short, this is the inaugural post
on my newest blog,
"Mr. Loyd's Adventure Classroom."
On this blog, I will feature activities
from virtually every area of classroom
life during my 33 years of teaching at
Sandhills Farm Life Elementary.
I could think of no better way to kick
things off than with pictures of as many
of my former students as I could find.
Below are group or individual photos
from 21 of the 33 years, and if any of
my readers can send me scans from your
old yearbooks I will HAPPILY add
YOUR year in Mr. Loyd's class. I apologize
for any of you that are not included, but
SFL did not have yearbooks every year.
I think I was pretty diligent about keeping
up with these (and just about everything
else), but I would love to add to the collection.
If you are a former student of mine, or
a parent or child of a former student,
do a little math and begin searching for
a familiar face in the appropriate year.

There! I hope you succeeded in finding
yourself or someone else you were seeking.
Though upcoming posts will deal with
some reminiscing of good times, I plan
to delve into the rationale for some of
my activities, policies, and practices.
I hope that teachers and parents may
glean something of use from the ideas
I will share. Please visit regularly, and
I will strive to keep fresh material coming.
I will offer companion pieces on Facebook
for those of you who rely on my links to
see what I'm blogging about.
Class Dismissed!
